Feature notes

The changes, by product area

This roundup covers the product available in the recorded September 20 dashboard release. The date above is when these notes were published.

01

Agreements and signing

Prepare an agreement, decide who needs to act, and track it through completion.

Envelope setup
Choose documents or a template, add recipients and their roles, set signing order, and review before sending.
Word signing fields
Prepare DOCX templates with signing fields and carry defaults, validation, visibility, linked fields, and calculations into the agreement.
Reusable templates
Create templates from existing agreements or starters, fill placeholders, and inspect versions and revisions.
Approvals and follow-on work
Route a draft to internal reviewers, use agreement rules to prepare a follow-on envelope, and track deliverables or renewals against the signed agreement.
Signer progress
See each recipient's state, documents, and activity in the envelope. Signers can return to unfinished work, and members can open pending requests from their inbox.
02

Collection and sharing

Bring information in, then control how a document goes out.

File Requests
Create an upload link into a chosen folder. Set email or passcode requirements, expiry, file-type and size limits, then monitor uploads or revoke the link.
Web Forms
Publish a form with custom fields and track submissions. A submission can also start an agreement from a chosen template.
Power Forms
Publish one reusable signing link from a ready template. Each person enters their details and receives a separate agreement; the owner can preview, publish, or pause the link.
Secure share links
Set a password or passcode, expiry, allowed viewers, watermark, and download or print permissions on a link. Send it by email or copy it, and revoke it when access should end.
03

Data rooms

Organize files, invite the right people, and keep activity attached to the room.

Guided room creation
Set the room's purpose, add files and folders, configure access, and preview the visitor experience. A saved draft can be resumed later.
Guest and file access
Allow specific email addresses or domains, invite members into groups, and set access on individual room items.
Appearance and room links
Apply workspace branding to the room experience and set the appearance and access options of each room share link separately.
Agreements in the room
Send a room document for signature and follow the agreement's status beside the files it came from.
04

Reading and activity

Move from a view count to the pages and sessions behind it.

Page attention
See opens, unique and returning viewers, time spent, and which pages held attention across shared files, rooms, and envelopes.
Session journeys
Review a page-by-page reconstruction from recorded viewing events to understand the order and duration of a read.
Exports and room activity
Export viewing activity when it needs to be shared, and inspect recent viewers and document activity in room and analytics views.
05

Getting started and keeping up

Set up a workspace and find the work that needs attention.

One-question setup
The first-run flow asks about solo or team use, intended work, workspace setup, and invitations one step at a time.
Practice and tours
Try guided missions with sample content, resume progress later, and use short tours on key screens.
Docshark Home
Find pending signatures, room questions, expiring links, stalled envelopes, recent readers, and frequently read documents from one starting point.
