Live timestamp

The timestamp ticks every minute, so an old screenshot is visibly old. Stale leaks lose their sting.

Overlay or burned

Overlay floats the watermark on the viewer. Burned stamps it into the PDF bytes server-side, so it survives prints, exports, and screenshots.

What is the difference between overlay and burned?

Overlay shows the watermark in the browser, on top of the document. Burned locks it into the file on the server, so it survives prints, downloads, exports, and even a photo of a printed copy.

Can the viewer remove the watermark?

Burned mode locks the mark into the file itself on the server, so it rides along through prints, downloads, and exports, and there is no unmarked copy to reach. Either way, every page is accountable: if a leak happens, you can see exactly which viewer's copy was shared.

Whose identity appears in the watermark?

The verified viewer's email. On gated links, that is the email that passed the gate. On signature envelopes, it is the signer's email.
